The CAGED quest begins...

In this course we would say that you are now an intermediate electric guitar player, especially on the rhythm and chord side. Lead is a little separate, as our focus in this series has been the chords and groove. So, at this stage our new concept is the complete CAGED system. This system is an extremely powerful way of navigating the fretboard, and we would suggest that whether they know it or not, this is the system most guitar players use to advance their skills to pro levels. We are extremely excited to start walking you through this system in this course.

Levelling up your rhythm

Alongside the CAGED work, which is the bulk of the theory, concept and application, we will also be advancing your rhythm skills. As an intermediate rhythm player, you need to be able to play faster grooves, with a wide variety of strumming patterns... So this is what we’ll challenge you with! As we work through the course we will be using custom written tracks to ensure that you are applying your new rhythms and CAGED shapes successfully onto the guitar. It’s an exciting new journey, so let’s dive in!
